The 12U Female Division is for female players aged 9-12 (Birth years 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013). In this division, players begin to pitch and catch. A real baseball is used for the first time. Working on the foundational skills of throwing, catching and hitting continue at this level. This division will take place at the same time as the 11U division. In the past two years, female players have participated in drills and games with the 11U group as numbers were not high enough to have separate groups. Based on our spring numbers, we are planning to have our players in the 12U Female Program on a different field for the morning practice sessions. Players from the 14U Female division are also invited to attend these morning sessions. We are also excited to be hiring a female coach that will be the lead coach for this division. If numbers are high enough, we will have two female teams that can play games against each other as well. If numbers do not allow, we will likely combine the 12U female and 11U players to make teams for the evening games. This decision will be made once summer registration numbers are finalized.
A baseball hat and jersey are provided. Players should bring their own glove and a batting helmet. Baseball pants, cleats and batting gloves are recommended but not required. Some players bring their own bats but this is not required as we have a variety of bats available for use. A water bottle should be brought each day. It is a good idea to have your child's equipment and water bottle clearly marked with their name.
