The 11U Division is for 9, 10 and 11 year old's. (Birth Years: 2011, 2012, 2013). This is the first division in which players begin to pitch and catch. A real baseball is used for the first time. There will be a combination of practices/drills and games at this level. Practices will continue to work on the foundational skills of throwing, catching and hitting. There will also be specific instruction and work on pitching as well as learning to play the other positions in the field. Tryouts for Rep/Travel Teams take place at this level.
A baseball hat and jersey are provided. Players should bring their own glove and batting helmet. Baseball pants, cleats and batting gloves are recommended but not required. Many players do bring their own bats but this is not required as there are a variety of bats available for use. A jock is required for players at the level. A water bottle should also be brought each day. It is a good idea to have your child's equipment and water bottle clearly marked with their name.
